The JCA-Mauvernay Award is organised each year in collaboration with the Japan Cancer Association (JCA). This award has a total value of CHF 25'000 ant it aims at recognising outstanding achievements in the field of oncology amongst Japanese researchers.
The Award, funded by Debiopharm and organised by the JCA, aims at recognising cutting-edge oncology research in both the fundamental and the clinical aspects and to encourage Japanese researchers to make their work available to other parts of the world. Potential Candidates must be researchers and members of the JCA who have been recommended by the councillors of the JCA and who have achieved excellent results in the fields of either basic or clinical research in oncology. The JCA counts about 17'000 members, all from universities, governmental and private research organisations throughout Japan.
Each year, the Award Committee selects nominee(s) for the JCA-Mauvernay Award from fundamental cancer research and/or clinical cancer research.
